Care Certificate
The Care Certificate is the minimum training, supervision and assessment that staff new to care (health and adult social care) should receive as part of their induction, although it doesn't replace all of it.
The programme prompts learners to complete practical skills and demonstrate competence in those skills. These activities are then marked and signed off by an occupationally competent assessor if the learner has reached the required standard.
The CareShield Care Certificate programme follows the standards published by Skills for Health, Skills for Care and Health Education England, and is endorsed by Skills for Care.
